What We Do
Enercast Pipe Monitor is an automated natural gas pipeline intelligence service that monitors all major U.S. interstate pipeline operator bulletin boards in real time. When a critical notice posts — force majeure, compressor outage, capacity constraint, or unplanned maintenance — Enercast detects it within minutes and delivers a structured, AI-scored alert directly to subscribers.
The service is designed for one purpose: giving energy traders, supply analysts, and schedulers the information they need to act on short-term supply disruptions before the market fully prices them in.
The Problem We Solve
U.S. interstate pipeline operators publish hundreds of notices every week across more than 50 bulletin board systems. The vast majority are routine — scheduling confirmations, administrative updates, and informational postings with no market significance. Buried within that noise are the events that actually matter: unplanned outages, force majeure declarations, and capacity restrictions that tighten regional supply and move basis differentials.
Monitoring all of this manually is impractical. Enercast automates the process — scraping, filtering, scoring, and delivering only the notices that carry real market implications.
How It Works
- Automated scraping — Enercast monitors 50+ pipeline operator bulletin boards continuously, detecting new and revised notices within minutes of posting.
- AI severity scoring — Every notice is scored 1–5 by an AI model trained on natural gas market context. Severity reflects both the physical impact (capacity volume, duration, affected segment) and the market implication (basis direction, reroute availability, LNG feed gas exposure).
- Trading note generation — Each alert includes a plain-language trading note covering basis implications, reroute potential, and capacity impact in Bcf/d.
- Real-time delivery — Pro subscribers receive alerts via Telegram and email within approximately 5 minutes of a new notice posting. Free subscribers receive a 1-hour delayed digest of severity 4–5 events.

Coverage includes Transco (Williams), Florida Gas Transmission, Tennessee Gas Pipeline, El Paso Natural Gas, Rockies Express, Southern Natural Gas, ANR, Texas Gas Transmission, Columbia Gulf, Kinder Morgan (multi-pipeline), Energy Transfer (multi-pipeline), and many others.
