Summary
Transco has declared force majeure for an unplanned outage of Main Unit 9 at Compressor Station 70 (MP 662, Location ID 9011500), effective August 7, 2026, with a current restoration estimate of August 21, 2026. The outage reduces design capacity at this TSB from 3,344 Mdth/d (3.344 Bcf/d) to 2,479 Mdth/d (2.479 Bcf/d) available for primary firm service, a constraint of approximately 0.865 Bcf/d with a potential 0-15% cut to primary firm shippers based on historical utilization. Transco FM at Station 70 constrains 0.865 Bcf/d of southbound-to-northbound mainline capacity; live capacity data for the prior gas day (2026-08-11) shows COMPRESSOR STATION 70 MP 662 at 96.3% utilization with only 3.7% headroom (0.093 Bcf/d OAC against 2.48 Bcf/d operating capacity), corroborating the active TSB restriction, and Transco Zone 4 basis has recently been trading at +1.150 vs Henry Hub -- expect continued or widening Zone 4 Southeast basis strength through at least August 21.
Reroute potential
Limited: Southern Natural Gas (SNG) provides partial alternative capacity in the Southeast corridor but is not monitored and carries significantly less capacity than Transco; Tennessee Gas Pipeline (TGP) serves overlapping Northeast markets but cannot fully replace Transco mainline southbound-to-northbound flows through the Southeast zone.

Transcontinental Gas Pipe Line Company, LLC (“Transco”), pursuant to Section 11 of the General Terms and Conditions of its FERC Gas Tariff, hereby provides an update to the force majeure event involving the unplanned outage of Main Unit 9 at Compressor Station 70.  

The current estimate for return to service of Main Unit 9 and restoration of full capacity at Station 70 is 
August 21, 2026. 
 Work is still ongoing and additional updates will be provided as available.

Until work is completed the TSB limitation listed below will remain in effect.
