Force Majeure – Caprock Station – Unit #2 – Update #1
El Paso Natural Gas Company, L.L.C. (EPNG) continues to make necessary repairs associated with its second stage nozzle system cooling blockage at Caprock Compressor Station Unit #2 located in Lea County, New Mexico, (Reference Critical Notice No. 628635).
The operational capacity through the CAPROCK N constraint will remain reduced by 68,380 dekatherms per day (Dth/d).
Due to operational pressure limitations, effective September 18, 2026, Timely Cycle (Cycle 1), the operational capacity through the LUSK constraint will be reduced by an additional 9,542 dekatherms per day (Dth/d), resulting in a total reduction of 31,892 dekatherms per day (Dth/d).
EPNG will be posting an updated maintenance notice to reflect the total impact through the CAPROCK N and LUSK constraints.
EPNG will provide updates as more information becomes available.
This incident constitutes an event of Force Majeure under Section 11.3 of the General Terms and Conditions of EPNG's FERC Gas Tariff.
